29th September, 2011Member of the European Parliament for the East Midlands, Emma McClarkin, took time out of her busy schedule to visit Nottingham Girls’ High School and talk to the Year 13 girls. She gave an inspiring account of her journey to become an MEP and provided great insight into life in this role.

Emma added, “I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the sixth form. I was very impressed with their questions and their interest. We talked a lot about seizing opportunities to get ahead in life as well as about increasing female representation in politics.
