GALOP members welcome Emma McClarkin MEP

East Midlands Conservative MEP Emma McClarkin was at Bradbury community house in Glossop last Friday, where she was the guest speaker at the latest meeting of Glossop Action for Local Older People (GALOP).

Miss McClarkin was invited to take part in a question & answer session about the European Parliament, and other topics regarding Europe. A variety of issues were raised, and the discussion was enjoyable and enlightening.

Speaking following the meeting, Miss McClarkin said:

“I was delighted to be asked to come along and answer questions at GALOP’s meeting today. Everyone was very engaged and we had a frank and lively debate. I very much enjoyed talking to everyone present, and I hope they found the discussion interesting.”

GALOP Chairman, John Searle, said:

“Emma came over to me and the members as a very honest person, passionate in her role as MEP and genuinely supporting UK interests 100%.  She is very experienced with the workings of the EU machine and all the problems that go with it and appeared totally committed to challenging  the bureaucracy that controls it.  I received lots of comments from members as to how much they enjoyed Emma’s visit.”
