Stay Inspired this year, says Emma McClarkin MEP
6th February, 2013East Midlands Conservative MEP, Emma McClarkin, is this week urging people to try something new and stay inspired in 2013, as part of the ongoing legacy of the Olympic Games.
Miss McClarkin, who is the Conservative spokesperson for Culture in the European Parliament, is encouraging people to get involved in a new sport or activity, or even just to keep going with a New Year’s resolution.
Miss McClarkin said:
“We’re reaching that time of the year when we can start to lapse on our New Year resolutions, as the start of the year becomes more distant. I want to urge people to stay inspired and to keep going, or even to try something entirely new this month.
“It’s also not too late to be inspired by the Olympic Games – thousands of people tried new sports last year after watching them in the stadiums or on their televisions, but if you weren’t one of them, it’s not too late to start.
“So whether you want to have a go at a new sport, or whether you just want to try a new hobby or even have a go at volunteering, it’s absolutely not too late to give it a go. This week is as good as any to start, and it could help make your year even more enjoyable.”
