Labour – the other Party of In

East Midlands Conservative MEP Emma McClarkin has today commented on Ed Miliband’s speech which ruled out the likelihood of Labour offering an in/out referendum on Europe.

She said: “Today Ed Miliband has made it clear just what Labour are – the other Party of In.

“Both Labour and the Lib Dems now say they will not offer the British people a referendum. When it comes to shackling Britain to Europe – come what may – Ed says ‘I agree with Nick Clegg.’

“It’s simple. Only Conservatives can deliver reform in Europe and a referendum the British people deserve.

“The choices for British voter in 2015 and at the European election in May become clearer by the day. There are the Conservatives who will challenge Europe and then offer voters a choice – then there are Labour and the Lib Dems who will not, and UKIP who cannot.”
