BASF Welcomes Emma McClarkin MEP to sites in Alfreton and Nottingham
3rd August, 2012East Midlands MEP Emma McClarkin visited BASF in Alfreton last week, before being taken to Nottingham University to see their Energy Efficiency Demonstration House.
Miss McClarkin met with BASF’s Alfreton Site Manager Nick Maybury and Director Geoff Mackey, and was given a tour of the site. During the tour Miss McClarkin was given an overview of what BASF produce and how those products are used.
Following her site tour, Miss McClarkin was taken to Nottingham University’s School of Architecture and the Built Environment, where she met with Gill Kelleher, Sustainable Construction Manager at BASF UK, Andy Mayer, Head of Public Affairs, and Professor Mark Gillott.
During her visit to Nottingham University Miss McClarkin was given a tour of BASF’s Energy Efficiency Demonstration House, which is now occupied by PHD students, and monitored to see the results of sustainable building and living.
