28th March, 2013East Midlands MEP Emma McClarkin will be sponsoring the Official Match Programme for the Celebrity Cricket Match, which is being organised by High Peak MP Andrew Bingham in aid of the Air Ambulance.
Miss McClarkin is a big sports fan and is the Conservative Spokesperson for Sport in the European Parliament. She is a big supporter of the Air Ambulance, having visited some of their training bases across the East Midlands region.
Miss McClarkin is also a cricket fan and has supported the development of the sport, not only in the East Midlands region, but also in Africa where she coached boys and girls in schools in Rwanda last summer.
Miss McClarkin said:
“I’m delighted to be sponsoring the programme for what I’m sure will be a fantastic fun-filled day out for all the family. I’m a massive sports fan and I love the High Peak, so I think that Andrew’s idea of a celebrity cricket match here in the High Peak in aid of the Air Ambulance is a brilliant one.
“I hope lots of people will put Sunday 2nd June in their diary and come along to watch a great match with well-known celebrities.”
Andrew has also stated that there are still advertising spaces available in the programme, including full-page (A5 size), half-page, quarter-page and eighth-page size adverts. Any company who wishes to support the Air Ambulance and advertise in the programme should emailandrew.bingham.mp@parliament.uk by Thursday 11th April.
Andrew said:
“I know that Emma loves her sport and is passionate about helping the Air Ambulance, so I’m very glad that she is sponsoring the programme for the match.
“The programme itself will be available across the High Peak from Monday 22nd April, so if any company wants an advert in it they should email me by Thursday 11th April. There are a range of affordable packages for any budget, and all proceeds go directly to the Air Ambulance.”
The Programme will cost £2, but producing the programme at the gate on the day will give a £2 discount on the price of a ticket. Full price tickets will be £5 per person (under-16s free), with all proceeds going to the Air Ambulance. Gates will open at 12noon, with the first ball bowled at 2pm.
