Emma McClarkin to visit Ilam Hall Youth Hostel
19th January, 2011East Midlands Conservative MEP, Emma McClarkin is visiting The Youth Hostels Association Ilam Hall near Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Peaks on Friday 21st January.
YHA Partners and Capital Development Head Simon Ainley and Policy Manager Sam Littlechilds will be meeting Miss McClarkin to discuss the work the YHA do in the East Midlands and across Europe and will be showing her the range of developments at Ilam Hall on the site visit.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Miss McClarkin said;
“The Youth Hostels Association brings many thousands of young people to Derbyshire and the East Midlands and does a tremendous amount for our important tourist industry. This includes welcoming people from across Europe and giving many their first taste of life in the English countryside.”
“The YHA helps young people develop their skills and personalities creating for many a life- long interest in the outdoor.”
