Emma McClarkin MEP speaks at Lincolnshire Enterprise Awards
24th March, 2011East Midlands Conservative MEP Emma McClarkin yesterday spoke to young people from Lincolnshire Secondary Schools at the Lincolnshire Enterprise Awards.
Emma was invited to give the keynote speech at the event, held at the University of Lincoln’s Riseholme Campus.
During the course of her speech, Emma praised the business acumen of the young entrepreneurs present at the awards:
“I am impressed to see so many young, motivated and ambitious entrepreneurs. Your business spirit is exactly what the UK needs in the competition with the rest of the World”
Emma ended by saying that she felt the future looked rosy for the East Midlands:
“I strongly believe that many of you here today will start your own business in the future for us to be proud of in the East Midland region.
“I wish you all the very best of luck in the awards ceremony and for your future chosen careers.”
Speaking after the awards had been presented, Emma said:
“I have been super impressed with the innovative work of the Young Enterprisers. This hands-on experience will really make them stand out as employable candidates.
“They show that the spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and well in Lincolnshire, and I’m sure they are the Alan Sugars and Karen Brady’s of the future!
“I’d like to congratulate Eventus for winning the Enterprise Award and I wish them well for the Finals in May.”
